Doctor of law (PhD) with habilitation (Doctor of Science, DSc) in legal science. Specially Appointed Associate Professor at the Faculty of Policy Management of Keio University, also affiliated with the Faculty of Law and Administration at the University of Warsaw.

Expert in the field of energy law, economy, and energy sector. Author of Regulation in the European Electricity Sector (Routledge, 2016) and European Law on Combined Heat and Power (Routledge, 2020). Granted the municipal government of Shanghai scholarship (2014) at the Shanghai University (China). Visiting Associate Professor at Keio University (Japan). Fond of history, enjoys playing shamisen. Fluent in English, speaks and writes in Swedish and German. Learning Chinese, Italian, and Japanese.

Keen on water sports (a lifeguard and a sea skipper), plays tennis and squash, does karate, skilled in nunchaku usage. Passionate about running (a marathoner) and cycling.

Happily married to Kinga. Proud father of a wonderful daughter.
