This Tuesday, I participated in the IPCC webinar organised by the Scientific Steering Committee for the Scoping of the IPCC Special Report on Climate Change and Cities.
Among the 164 participants, I was the sole representative from Poland (the webinar I attended on March 19 was accompanied by two others, scheduled for different time zones - and there is a possibility that other Polish experts were present).
During the meeting, a colleague from Romania and I emphasised the importance of including case studies from diverse parts of the world. The voice of Central and Eastern Europe (CCE) - not only the West - must be heard, and it is great that the scoping meeting is organised in Riga.
I look forward to further opportunities for sharing our thoughts in climate discussions with colleagues from the IPCC.
