I had the pleasure of visiting the European University Institute (EUI) in Florence, where I delivered a lecture on the intersection of Smart Cities and Green Artificial Intelligence (AI).
This seminar marked one of my final stops during my stay in Italy, following earlier events in Rome, Macerata, and Urbino. The central message I aimed to convey to my colleagues in Europe was the critical importance of Sustainable AI. As we navigate the complexities of urbanisation and strive for climate-conscious and environmentally friendly solutions, adopting a “green AI” approach becomes increasingly imperative.
