Two lectures covered main legal and policy issues related to the EU energy market and climate and energy policy. I presented how the internal electricity markets looks like and addressed its main institutions (inter alia third party access to networks, public law regulation, roles of market actors following the efforts to unbundle the sector, the right for the consumer to choose own supplier, system-operation, access to the grid, price regulation and bench marking, market transparency, cap and trade regimes based on the EU experience – CO2-quotas and emission trading).
