My recent research trip to Boston proved to be a productive and engaging experience.
A highlight was the visit to Boston Dynamics, where our team enjoyed a fascinating tour of their headquarters. We were graciously hosted by a VP at the company, who provided valuable insights into their cutting-edge robotics work. Following the tour, we continued the discussion at the AI Institute in Cambridge. This independent research arm of Boston Dynamics showcased some truly remarkable advancements in artificial intelligence.
My research stay in the US also included a visit to Boston University School of Law, where I gave a talk during the seminar "Regulating Emerging Technology and Privacy in Japan". My presentation was followed by a lively Q&A session. I would like to thank Professor Woodrow Hartzog for organising this valuable opportunity.
In addition to these activities, I had the opportunity to connect with top experts and scholars at several prominent institutions, including MIT Sloan School of Management, Harvard Law School, the Belfer Center for Science and International Affairs, and the Boston University Institute for Global Sustainability. These meetings provided valuable context and perspectives for my ongoing research.
