I participated in a session of the Polish-Japanese Investment Forum in Osaka exploring strategic infrastructure investments.
While the discussion spanned ports, railways, and airports, my focus remained on a simple truth: modern infrastructure is the prerequisite for a successful energy transition.
In the context of Polish-Japanese synergy, the "hard" infrastructure we discussed serves as the physical platform for the energy sector's evolution. First, the modernisation of Polish seaports is not just about logistics - it is about creating installation and service bases for Baltic Sea offshore wind projects (a sector where Japanese expertise is world-class). Second, developing rail and road corridors is essential for the heavy-lift logistics required to transport hydrogen components, modular nuclear parts, and wind turbines. Third, by combining Polish strategic location and growth potential with Japanese innovation and financial reliability, we are not just building ports and rails - we are building the foundation for a sustainable, energy-independent future.
